Ingredients
- Either 2x300g Tapioca Pearls Pack or 3 Cups from the 3kg Tapioca Pearls Pack
- ¾ Cup Brown sugar syrup
- 2-3L of water
Instructions - Stove Top
- Prepare 2-3L of water in a pot over a stove top and bring it to a rolling boil over a high flame`
- Gently pour 2x300g Packs or 3 Cups of pearls into a large colander to sieve out any crushed pearls to leave whole pearls
- Gently scope whole pearls into the boiling water
- Reduce to a simmer and stir every 10 minutes for 20-30 minutes until the centre is soft & chewy
- Wash & drain water
- Soak the pearls in ¾ Cup Brown Sugar syrup for 5 minutes
- Place cooked pearls in an airtight container best to line it with foil to keep warm. Leave at room temperature or bain-marie
Additional Note
- Best used within 3 hours at room temperature
- Storage - Place cooked tapioca pearls in an air-tight sealed container and place in the refrigerator. Use all within 2 days. Reheating required.
- Reheat for individual serve for cold tapioca pearls: Place single serve (2 TBSP) cold cooked tapioca pearls in the microwave for 20-45 seconds (depending on strength of microwave)
